Different morphologies observed among Arthrospira strains: A, rods (M2); B, relaxed spirals (Paracas P0); C, tight spirals (Lonar-LoH7). Tight spiral morphologies vary greatly upon cultivation conditions, whereas rod and relaxed spiral morphologies appear to be much more stable
